MICROFILM

Document Microfilming
Line Scan Limited records millions of documents to 16mm microfilm continuously. This method of recording is used when cost and archival permanence are the main criteria and when referral rates are low.

Increasingly it is being used as a permanent backup for electronically captured documents and it is not uncommon for 16mm microfilming and electronic scanning to be performed together.

Drawing Microfilming
Line Scan Ltd. still continues to commit to 35mm microfilm, many thousands of engineering drawings and plans every month and this method of recording is still the cheapest and most archivally permanent method of recording this type of data.
